About the Author: A Veteran of the News Writing Battlefield
J.M. Phelps is a freelance investigative journalist whose work has been featured in The Gateway Pundit, American Family News, WORLDNETDAILY, MIDDLE EAST Forum, The Epoch Times, and other outlets. His work is further shaped by a deep interest in military history, strategy, and the enduring tension between authority and individual liberty—core themes that carry into his fiction. Known among friends by the call sign “Liberty Cannon,” a nod to his fascination with artillery, cannons, and howitzers, he draws inspiration from both historical and modern military conflict.
Outside of his professional work, J.M. Phelps is an avid practitioner of Muay Thai and a dedicated coffee enthusiast with a strong appreciation for Cajun and Thai cuisine. He maintains an extensive collection of Incredible Hulk memorabilia, alongside a growing assortment of World War II aircraft models and Civil War artifacts.
When he’s not writing or training, he enjoys cooking and developing his own seasoning blends in the kitchen.
When he’s not championing the rights of others, he and his wife, who is an attorney, enjoy spending time in their home library reading alongside their two beloved dogs—who are often invited to join the conversation.
